For support, rapporteur Felipe Carreras evaluates changes in tax on gaming in Brazil

Seeking support to approve the proposal, the rapporteur of the bill that regulates gaming in Brazil, deputy Felipe Carreras (PSB-PE), promised parliamentarians to make changes. He discusses with his colleagues the biggest destination of CIDE-Jogos for culture and animal protection actions. In the preliminary report, the deputy allocates 3% to the sector. President of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), will only guide the vote on the bill in plenary next week if he is sure of approval.

Faced with a strong opposition to the proposal promised by the Evangelical Parliamentary Front, the rapporteur intends to make changes, for example, in the destination of the exclusive tax of the sector that will be created, the “Cide-Jogos”.

One of the ideas evaluated by Carreras is to increase the percentage that will be allocated to the national cultural fund. In the preliminary report, the deputy allocates 3% to the sector.

At the request of parliamentarians who work in the area, Bill's rapporteur for gaming also promised to increase the percentage of Cide-Jogos to be allocated to programs and actions for animal defense and protection.

In the initial version of its text, Carreiras had already responded to a request from Deputy Fred Costa (Patriota-MG), who is active in the cause, and allocated 3% of CIDE-Jogos to programs and actions for animal defense and protection.

In recent days, leaders of MDB and Novo have been looking for the rapporteur to ask for possible changes in the text. Carreras plans to submit a new version of the opinion next week.

According to allies, the president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), will only guide the vote on the project in plenary next week if he is sure of approval.
