Nevada sportsbooks kept a combined US$15.4 million from Super Bowl bets for a hold percentage of 8.6% compared with last year when they kept US$12.5 million, or 9.2% of the bets.
The win total is the third highest on record since the Nevada Gaming Control Board started tracking such wagers in 1990, trailing only the US$19.7 million total set in 2014 and US$18.8 million set two years ago.
Super Bowl LVI saw the Los Angeles Rams face off against the Cincinnati Bengals at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the home of the Rams. This marked only the second Super Bowl to feature a team playing at its home stadium.
The Rams ran out 23-20 winners thanks to a late touchdown from Cooper Kupp, who was also named Most Valuable Player.
