In principle, with the survey of data carried out so far by Procon/RJ, there are indications that these sites indicate, in order to persuade the consumer, to be permissionaries of Caixa Econômica Federal, which can mislead the consumer.
On these sites, from what has been presented so far, it was observed that the consumer does not receive the official proof of completion of the games, which, if not effectively carried out, will prevent him from receiving an eventual prize, which generates insecurity and doubt as to to the adequate provision of the commercialized service, in disagreement with the provisions of article 6, III of the Consumer Protection Code that indicates that the information passed on to the consumer must be clear and precise.
The CEO of Procon/RJ states that "it is essential that the consumer has the security that the bets were effectively carried out and the guarantee that he will receive the prize, if his bet is contemplated. In addition, proof of that these sites are authorized by Caixa to perform the service they provide to consumers."
After notification, suppliers will have 10 days to present the requested clarifications, which, if considered insufficient, may result in the establishment of a sanctioning act that may result in a fine of up to R$12 million (US$$ 2.4m), without prejudice to civil and criminal sanctions, and those defined in specific rules, such as, for example, the suspension of activities on these sites.
