Forum on tourism to discuss about casinos, bingos, jogo do bicho and betting in Sao Paulo

The Grupo Meon de Comunicação promotes, on March 15, the largest forum on tourism with the first debate panel of the bill that legalizes gaming in Brazil, including casinos, bingos, jogo do bicho and sports betting since its approval by the Chamber of Deputies. Vinicius Lummertz, Secretary of Tourism and Travel for the State of Sao Paulo, is among the panelists, among other guests at the event that will be broadcast simultaneously on Youtube.

‘Dialogues & Strategies: Tourism’ is another Meon brand to assist in the conception and promotion of thoughts and actions related to the elaboration of public policies to stimulate tourism.

For this edition, the mayors, secretaries and tourism advisors and presidents of the municipal councils of the 39 municipalities of Sao Paulo are invited. For the editor of Meon Turismo magazine and producer of the TV show Thathi SBT, Fabrício Correia, the forum marks the beginning of a joint action by the trade and municipalities for a new moment of tourism in Brazil.

“We prepared a debate panel with an emphasis on the approval of gaming and casinos in the country and also on the consolidation of sports events and sports betting as elements for the promotion of tourism in our region. We also associated two panels with public agents, one executive and the other with legislative practices to create the necessary synergy for affirmative actions that reverberate the collective good,” he said during the presentation of the event's schedule, which will be broadcast simultaneously on Youtube.

There will be four dialogue and strategy tables: ‘Approval of Gaming and Casinos in Brazil’, ‘Synergy between Sports Events and Sports Betting’, ‘Sao Paulo for All’ and ‘Best Legislative Practices’. The event will bring key names of the sector to dialogue with mayors, tourism advisors and councilors in order to prepare municipalities for public policies to stimulate the sector and attract new investments. Vinicius Lummertz, Secretary of Tourism and Travel for the State of Sao Paulo, is among the panelists.

State deputy Sérgio Victor, leader of NOVO in the Legislative Assembly of Sao Paulo, will also participate in the debates. Among the guests at the panels are Carlos Bernardo, Director of ACCOR and Vice-President of ABIH-SP (Brazilian Association of Hotels in the State of Sao Paulo); Mauzler Paulinete, Executive Secretary of ASEMESP (Association of Municipal Sports Secretaries of the State of SP); Luciane Leite, one of the great names of tourism in Latin America and current secretary of Tourism of Ihabela; in addition to the mayors of Sao José dos Campos, Felicio Ramuth (PSD), and Ilhabela, Toninho Colucci (PL).

For Regina Laranjeira Baumann, the event will bring new paths for the development of tourism, in addition to collaborating for the integration of municipal public policies.

“It is an honor to hold an event that brings so many possibilities for tourism development at RMVale. We have prepared an agenda of great significance and that, if approved by the Senate and sanctioned by the president, will definitively change the flow of tourism and our region will be covered immediately. I thank the secretary Vinicius Lummertz for the condition of effective participation in this edition of Dialogues & Strategies,” said Regina.

The mayor of Sao José dos Campos, Felicio Ramuth, praised the initiative and confirmed his presence. “Grupo Meon takes the lead once again, enabling a meeting with municipal administrations and legislatures to collectively establish actions that promote this sector that is so important to our economy. Congratulations to Fabrício and Regina for the brilliant initiative. I will be present and I will also contribute with our ideas,” said Felicio.

The president of the Institute for the Development of Tourism, Culture, Sport and Environment, Bruno Omori, will mediate the deabtes and emphasizes that it will be the first panel that will address the issue after the approval of the release of the gaming sector by the Federal Chamber.

“I am very satisfied with the panels and the construction of opportunities that they will generate for the participants. Among the guests, exclusively, we announce the participation of the CEO of KLW Capital, Gene Chayevsky, direct from the United States. It will be a great moment for the municipalities of RMVale,” highlighted Bruno Omori.
