Technical commission to debate new models for lotteries and games in Brazil

This Thursday (17) it was announced through the Official Gazette of the Federal District (DODF) the creation of a technical commission with the objective of evaluating and selecting studies of technical, economic, financial and legal models, in order to reassess implementation and operation of lotteries and games in six states of Brazil and the Federal District. The selected team, which already has names chosen, has 30 days, as of yesterday, to present these studies.

The document indicating the creation of the commission was published in this Thursday's edition (17) of the DODF, and was signed by the executive secretary of the Interstate Development Consortium of Central Brazil, José Eduardo Pereira Filho.

In principle, the members who begin this work in the commission are:

*Aurislon José Ferreira (Coordinator of Brasil Central)

*Maria Luzia Perez Alonso (Consortium Advisor)

*Matheus Pinheiro de Abreu Zordan (Consortium Advisor)

*Fernando de Freitas Carvalho (Technical Assistant of the consortium)

*Luiz Renato Adler Ralho (Advisor to the Secretary of Finance of Mato Grosso do Sul)

In the first article of the decree, it was established that the technical commission has the objective of evaluating and selecting studies of technical, economic, financial and legal models, in order to reassess the implementation and operation of lotteries and games in six states and in the Federal District.

The commission may invite representatives of public or private bodies and entities linked to the consortium, as well as external consultants. New participants will be able to participate in specific meetings for the topic, in addition to providing technical assistance in the studies.

For a month now, the Consórcio Brasil Central has been under the leadership of the Federal District, with the extension of the mandate of district governor Ibaneis Rocha (MDB). Along with the DF, the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Tocantins, Maranhão and Rondônia make up the interstate union.
