GreenRun sports betting platform debuts in Brazil

A new sports betting platform, GreenRun, has just hit the Market in Brazil. With a US$4.2 million seed round, led by Vice Ventura, from NYC, and angel investors and professional athletes, the app's goal is to revolutionize the sector in Latin America by democratizing and enabling all people to play easily and intuitively. “We have our own development system, created mainly for Brazilians,” says Marcos Araújo, one of the partners in the project.

Developed by friends Nathan Dionne, Marcos Araújo and Raphael Araújo, the sports betting platform is premised on offering an easy and direct language for those who have a history of having fun with bidding.

The company's proposal is to promote entertainment, but, above all, to educate its members about the world of sports betting, fostering a market that, today, moves up to R$ 8 billion annually in the country.

As a launch strategy, the company presents the “Tabela do Milhão” (Table of the Million) challenge. The action promises to give R$ 1 million to any user who correctly ranks the 20 teams after the final round of the Brasileirão, the country's main football championship. The company's expectation is to reach 50,000 gamblers with just this challenge.

Providing a diagnosis of the main guesses for each game and helping the user in the best choice according to their preferences, the platform also offers support for the individual to understand the betting universe and the current scenario of the teams and each match.

Counting on the main sports leagues, such as Brasileirão, NBA and NFL, the application also has an education tab, where it is possible to learn how to bet and win prizes through ‘flags’, its own currency that the user acquires from interactions and every play. In addition, flags can also be exchanged for off-platform experiences, such as tickets to users favorite team's game.
