The members of Forte Futebol (América-MG, Athletico-PR, Atlético-GO, Avaí, Ceará, Coritiba, Cuiabá, Fortaleza, Goiás and Juventude) announced that they will sign with Brax, a recently created company that promises to transfer twice the current value that Sport Promotion passes on, which is approximately R$ 5 million (US$ 1m). Atlético-MG and Fluminense should also follow the same path and close a three-year deal with Brax.
“Sport Promotion, holder of the marketing and agency rights for the static advertising boards of the Brazilian Championship since 2019, became aware on the night of March 30 of the movement of some clubs in order to question the contract that is in force until the end of 2023. Sport Promotion assesses the situation and studies appropriate measures. The main objective in our 40 years of history has always been to ensure commitments to customers and partners who believe in a healthy business environment in football,” said Sport Promotion.
Today, Sport Promotion pays approximately R$12 million (US$ 2.5m) in its contracts with Corinthians, Flamengo and Palmeiras. Brax promises to bridge that chasm and end the disparity. Behind it are Esportecom, responsible for the Flamengo signs, Market Sport, with pitch mats, and Printac, also responsible for signs in Brazil and South America.
For this season, the agency had already closed static advertising for 361 league matches. Now, with the movement of the participants, the contract can be revised.
