Through ordinance 639/22, the president of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association, João Alberto Simonetti, appointed the lawyer and former president of Loterj Daniel Homem de Carvalho as president of the Special Commission on Sports, Lottery and Organ entertainment.
The commission to which Daniel Homem de Carvalho was appointed is responsible for discussing and offering subsidies to modernize legislation on gambling and betting in Brazil. It will be up to the new president to coordinate the actions of the OAB in achieving the objectives of the entity, which already has a strong presence in the discussions about the gaming sector in Brazil from its state entities.
Daniel Homem de Carvalho is former president of the Rio de Janeiro State Lottery - Loterj and president of the Gaming and Entertainment Law Commission of the Instituto dos Advogados Brasileiros (IAB). His inauguration in the new commission took place on the 7th of April.
