Launch scheduled for May 2

New Brazil's lottery +Milionária promises to be harder to hit than Mega-Sena

Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) announced that it will launch a new lottery, scheduled for May 2. However, nothing is yet confirmed about the first draw of the modality. But what is already known about it has punters increasingly curious, especially its promise to be more difficult than the Mega-Sena. In this article, more details about +Milionária, the new game from CEF Loterias.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, some investigations have found traces of promises for the launch of +Milionária about two years ago. However, Loterias Caixa postponed the first draw due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Either way, it has players curious about its difficulty, as it promises to be harder than the Mega-Sena which, according to the odds, is already one of the hardest games to win.

+Millionaire: how will the new lottery work?

+Millionária will be launched in a period of many bets in the lotteries in Brazil. That's because, according to Caixa Econômica Federal, last year's games raised R$ 18.83 billion (US$ 3.8bn), an increase of 7.7% compared to 2020. In addition, the last lottery that CEF launched was ‘Super Sete’ , almost two years ago.

The new lottery to be launched will work differently from Mega-Sena. According to the note released by the government through the Official Gazette, +Millionária will have “two distinct arrays of numbers, one with fifty whole numbers, broken down from 01 (one) to 50 (fifty), and, another, with six whole numbers, broken down from 01 (one) to 06 (six).”

In this way, the player will be able to choose from 6 to 12 numbers in the first matrix. In contrast, the second array can have from two to six tags. Like other Caixa lotteries, +Milionária will also have the Teimosinha and Surpresinha systems for players to place their bets.

New lottery: more difficult and expensive than Mega-Sena?

In fact, the new lottery promises to be more difficult than the Mega-Sena. In the meantime, it should be noted that it will have more award ranges, which are cumulative with each other. That is, in addition to the main prize accumulating if there is no winner, the others will have consequent accumulations. See the +Millionaire award table below:

In addition, the initial value of the +Millionária award will be R$ 10 million (US$ 2m), which already raises the suspicion of a greater difficulty. In addition, the minimum bet value of the new lottery will be R$ 6 (US$ 1.2), about R$ 1.50 (US$ 0.30) more expensive than the Mega-Sena.
