Liqi’s brand will be displayed alongside Motorola and telecom Vivo on all of Keyd’s esports jerseys. This includes its Free Fire roster, which will play the title’s world championship this month.
Vivo Keyd’s first batch of digital products by Liqi are predicted to be launched in May. The organisation’s CEO, Tiago Xisto, told Esports Insider that the partnership is an important step for Keyd in the Web3 environment, with him describing the technology as “instrumental for organisations that want to thrive in esports in a near future.”
“The partnership is a very important step for Liqi. As a gaming and sports enthusiast, I am happy to pioneer and provide the technology to create NFTs and Fan Tokens that will bring fans closer to the teams and games they love,” commented Daniel Coquieri, CEO of Liqi.
Xisto also revealed in the press release that Vivo Keyd will launch a special social media channel for fans interested in ‘exclusive NFTs’. In addition, educative content on finances will be produced by both entities.
“It's very important for us for many factors, the two worlds have everything to do with it. Those who follow Vivo Keyd can now keep an eye on social media, because we will launch a specific page for those who want to compete for exclusive NFTs with few units,” said Xisto.
Founded in 2021, Liqi is a Brazilian startup that has worked with local sports teams such as Coritiba Football Club and Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. In January 2022, the firm raised $27.5m BRL (~£4,33m) through its series A funding round led by Kinea Ventures.
