The deal marks the first time Costa has signed with a casino and sportsbook brand and will be included within a number of social media campaigns by LynxBet, creating engaging content for his one million-plus followers to enjoy.
The announcement demonstrates the brand’s ambitions to build a significant player base within the Brazilian market as well as the wider Latin American landscape.
This follows LynxBet’s launch in March, which has already seen significant uptake in its tier one markets. Operating under an Isle of Man Gaming licence, LynxBet is fully committed to responsible play, providing accessible self-exclusion and time-out facilities, as well as deposit, wager and loss limits.
Inspired by the growing influence of the metaverse in the digital space, the brand has been developed with casual players at the forefront, combining escapism, vibrancy and animations to offer a fun and responsible igaming experience across several verticals, including sportsbooks, casino, bingo and lottery.
As well as this and further ambassadorships yet to be announced, LynxBet aims to increase its customer base across South America and other pre-regulated markets by placing emphasis on a localised service, including customer support offered in each language via email and live chat.
It has also put regional teams in place to create a more personal player experience. In addition, localised payment methods are available for each jurisdiction, while the brand also accepts deposits and withdrawals using cryptocurrency.
This approach is solidified by harnessing the expertise of its sister brand Freebitco.in, a cryptocurrency casino specialist with over 48 million players, from which LynxBet is also targeting with its own cross-selling campaigns.
Samantha Asensi, Consultant for Brazil and Latin America, commented: “We’re delighted to have Paulo Costa on board as our brand ambassador for Brazil. As a popular sports star who is revered throughout the country, he is perfect to represent LynxBet as we continue to attract new players to join the Land of LynxBet.”
“Paulo has already shown a great deal of enthusiasm in collaborating with us and pushing the brand in Brazil to the next level, helping us to create brand awareness through his impressive social media audience reach. Above all else, his popularity and charm is the perfect companion for our own mascot, The Lucky Lynx,” Asensi added.
