Senate bill discusses allocation of lottery resources to General Tourism Fund in Brazil

Bill 2.380/2021, which updates the General Tourism Fund (Fungetur) and increases the supply of funds for the tourism sector in Brazil, is scheduled for voting in the Senate Plenary this Wednesday, 18. The text suggests the creation of an additional and permanent source of resources for the fund through the transfer corresponding to 3.48% of the collection with the Federal Lottery and 2.97% of the collection with lotteries with numerical predictions (Mega-Sena, Quina and others).

This Wednesday's (18) agenda includes the discussion of Bill 2.380/2021, which updates the General Tourism Fund (Fungetur) and increases the supply of funds for the tourist sector in Brazil. The text is authored by the Tourism Committee of the Chamber of Deputies.

The project suggests the creation of an additional and permanent source of funds through the transfer corresponding to 3.48% of the collection with the Federal Lottery and 2.97% of the collection with numerical prediction lotteries (Mega-Sena, Quina and others).

In the Tourism Commission, it was also alleged that those interested in credit lines encounter practically insurmountable barriers when submitted to the risk analysis of authorized banks; therefore, the project also proposes that Fungetur work in sharing the credit risk of borrowers of the lines of financing, seeking to make operations more attractive to financial institutions, consequently increasing the supply of available resources.
