In compliance with the Resolution of the Securities and Exchange Commission (“CVM”) No. 358/2002, O BRB – Banco de Brasília S.A. “Communicates to its shareholders and to the market in general that, with the sanction and enactment of District Federal Law No. nº 7.155/22, started the selection process of financial advisors with the objective of seeking a strategic partnership aimed at implementing and enhancing the lottery business in the Federal District."

Governor Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) sanctioned Law No. 7,155, which creates the Federal District Lottery, was published in the Official Gazette of this Monday, 13/06. It covers game modalities such as instant lottery and numerical and sports predictions. According to the rule, the Public Lottery Service of the Federal District is prohibited from exploiting all types of bingo games, casinos and other games of fortune, except the lottery.
The new DF Lottery will be managed by Banco Regional de Brasília and will allocate 5% of the proceeds to professional football in the Federal District. According to the project, the amount collected from lottery games will have the following destinations, in addition to football:
* Payment of prizes and collection of taxes levied on the award;
* DF social security;
* Financing the cost and investment of final activities considered socially relevant;
* Coverage of operating expenses and maintenance of lottery games;
* Sponsorship of sporting, cultural and leisure events.
Some amendments also added other destinations to the amounts collected: Fund for the Generation of Employment and Income (Funger), Penitentiary Fund of the Federal District (FUNPDF), entities in the areas related to people with disabilities, among others.
In the coming days, Banco Regional de Brasília will define the conditions for the selection process of financial advisors and how they will act in defining the operating model for the DF Lottery.
