The Rules of Parisian Blackjack

Parisian Blackjack is a french card game that is also called Poker 21. The game's aim is to get 21 points or get as close to it as possible without going over. If you go over it means you have lost. No matter what your score is, you must beat the dealer’s hand.

Most of the cards are worth their value except the face cards which are worth 10 points. The Ace is worth either 1 or 11 depending on the hand that you have and it is up to you to choose which one you’d like to go with.

How To Play The Game

During the game, the seated player had to bet on the “21” box and the “POK” box.

The number of sewed players corresponds to the number of seats available at the table. Which has a maximum of seven seats. In case seats are not occupied players are allowed to bet on the empty spots on the mat.

It is possible for standing players to bet on a seated player's hand only if the latter accepts. The bet should also be within the authorized maximum bet amount that is allowed per hand. Although they are allowed to bet, they are not able to participate in the game and must respect the seated players' decisions. Find here the best bitcoin roulette sites.

The Deal

The bets are placed before the cards are dealt and must be within the betting range. When all bets are placed the dealer deals cards one at a time from left to right, ending with themself. They continue to do this after each round.

Surrender

At the end of the round it’s possible to surrender and get back half of your bet. This is only possible if the dealer doesn’t have an ace.

The dealer will keep dealing cards until the player is satisfied, the player goes over 21 in which base the dealer will pick up their hand.

Double Down

The player has the option to double their “21” bet if they’ve only been dealt two cards, after which they can only draw one more card.

Splitting Hands

A player can split their hand in the case that their first two cards are the same value. If they choose to do this, they have to match their initial “21” bet, which would lead to them having two hands and bets. You are only allowed three splits.

In the case that a player draws two aces and splits them, they can only draw one more card per hand.

Dealer’s Hand

After every player’s hand has been determined, the dealer draws one more card for themself. If their hand has reached 17, they stop. If not, they will proceed until they reach 17 or more.

Losing and winning bets

Once the scores are determined, the dealer will announce the scores and collect the losing bets and pay out the winning bets from right to left.

If the player got 1 point more than the dealer's hand they will be paid out 1 to 1. Same goes for when their hand went over 21.

If the players hand tie with the dealers, their bet will be returned.

The player gets 3 to 2 if their hand totaled 21 with their first two cards.

In case the dealer gets 21 with their first two cars, they will keep all bets except those who also got the same hand.

After which the dealer concludes the game.

Game strategy

Poker 21 is based mainly on luck of draw but with card counting skills, the player can gain an upper hand by knowing what cards are left in the deck. It is quite difficult but it pays off if the player has good strategy. It is similar to blackjack with some added differences. It can be exactly what you’re looking for if you want the same excitement with the aspects of something new.
