Marcio Malta, CEO of Sorte Online, began his explanation by pointing out that the share of lotteries in Brazil's GDP is still very small compared to what happens in other countries on different continents. According to him, the domestic market has a lot of potential, but it needs to take advantage of opportunities.
“We talk a lot about new taxes and cursed taxes like the CPMF, but we don't see how much lotteries can generate. And that's not too far. Brazil is a reference in several sectors such as e-commerce with a penetration of 12%. It's not that far, we need to understand that lotteries walk to get there,” he states.
The social importance of lotteries was the highlight of President Loterj's speech, Otávio Cunha. According to him, in addition to entertainment and prizes, the products offered by Loterj also bring an important return to society. “People hardly know about it. When they are playing, see it as instant entertainment where they can be rewarded for it, but don't consider that the resource that has been caught will be reversed in good deeds,” he said.
Alexandre Tauszig, LATAM Regional Manager at Skilrock, showed some of the experiences of lotteries that are already successful in several countries around the world and highlighted the importance of using technology to build good regulation.
“It doesn't really matter if you have a more or less rigid regulation. What matters is the use of a technology that can understand the different regulations that impose types of games, who can play and their age. Having an efficient platform, you can understand any way of regulating the product,” Tauszig commented.
The quality of the game was the final topic of discussion. According to Cunha, this factor influences the bettor's confidence and leads to the achievement of loyalty. “The more the player is aware that he is having fun with a correct game, the more he will be connected to the opportunities offered,” he concluded.
