PGS 2022 offers a complete schedule of conferences on key topics for the region

The Peru Gaming Show 2022, which will take place on June 15 and 16 at the Jockey Exhibition Center in Lima, Peru, published its schedule of conferences that will address issues of relevance to the sector in the region, such as cryptocurrencies, regulation online and fraud detection. The panels will be made up of speakers with extensive experience and professional level, who will be in charge of transmitting their knowledge on topics of their specialty.

According to the organizers, the conferences will touch on avant-garde topics that in a very short time will dominate the operational processes of economic activities.

The audience will be made up of the owners and top representatives of casino, slot machine, sports betting and online gaming companies, and in general, by all the agents linked to the sector.

On the first day of the event (June 15) specialists will present on "Fraud detection system" in the sports field, specifically in relation to sports betting. The panel will be made up of Juan Méndez, Manager Integrity Partnerships Latam of Sportradar; and Ángel Suarez, manager of Integrity, Ethics and Compliance of the Peruvian Soccer Federation (FPF). The moderator will be Fernando Garita, director of Business Development at Betcris.
 


Another important issue to be discussed will be related to payment mechanisms under new schemes that will progressively replace existing ones. Víctor Arias, Vice President of Operations for LatAm at Pragmatic Play, will speak on the subject in the session “Payment methods for Latin America: the challenge to define the best options.”

During the second day (June 16) cryptocurrencies will be discussed, a very topical and important issue since they have become an instrument that will speed up transactions in all economic activity and in particular in the gaming sector. The subject of great interest will be in charge of Rafael Brunacci, Sales Manager for Latin America of CoinsPaid.
 


In the afternoon, four experts on regulation will be in charge of explaining the scope of the regulatory processes for the sector. The land-based gaming sector in Peru is one of the best regulated in the region and is on its way to do the same with online gaming and sports betting. On this topic, PGS will offer a panel with four important guests: Manuel San Román, ex-regulator of Peru with more than 15 years at the head of the General Directorate of Games; Luis Gama, former regulator from Uruguay; Javier Balbuena, former regulator of Paraguay; and Karen Sierra Hughes, Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean of GLI, who will act as moderator.
