GMB - What assessment do you make of recent BiS 2022?
Luís Traversa – Sounds like a spectacular event to me. An event that allowed us to get together after so long because of the pandemic. In fact, it's really nice to meet face-to-face and to be able to talk a little more in detail about what we are doing with Betmotion and to be closer to the topic of regulation.
And how is Betmotion work doing in Brazil?
Betmotion is not a new site. We have been operating in Brazil for 13 years and it has been growing a lot. Gradually, we have invested in marketing, with sponsorships in different sports, such as basketball and football, as well as influencers and ambassadors. So, little by little, we are showing ourselves more firmly in the market.
And conquering LATAM too!
Yes!. We have expanded in LATAM. We are starting an operation in Peru, although we are very focused on Brazil, but we are very satisfied with the results we have in the Latin market.
What do you expect from the regulation of sports betting?
In the beginning, when we participated in this type of conference, the same thing was always said. Last year we scored a goal with the advancement of regulation and now we are much more excited, and I believe that after the presidential elections something will happen that will be good for all of us.
What are Betmotion's plans for post-regulation, as you have a team working on the Brazilian market?
We have offices in Brazil, Uruguay, Malta and other markets. We always have this international vision not only of Brazil. But bringing experiences from all sides. Our objective is to participate in the regulation and, if possible, be one of the first players in the market to obtain the license.
And do you also plan to expand the team in Brazil?
Of course, yes. The regulation will bring many jobs and ensure that we work more safely and comfortably, pay taxes and make everything grow in Brazil.
