In an exclusive conversation with GMB, Luis de Prat, the company's LATAM sales director, says that Digitain is very attentive to the regulation of sports betting in Brazil to expand its local presence. The company's sports betting product spans 100 sports, spanning 15,000 leagues and offers over 3,000 betting markets as well as odds on 90,000 live events each month.
GMB - How is business in Brazil for Digitain?
Luis de Prat - We are very excited because we saw that at BiS there was a great turnout and interest in our products.
Is Digitain arriving in Brazil now?
We have been present for some time and with some clients. And our idea is to expand in this important market.
Providing platforms and sportsbooks...
Yes. Our solution adapts to the customer. It could be just the sportsbook integrated into your platform or our complete, sportbook and platform solution.
Do you already have many clients in Brazil?
We are making progress in that direction. We also have many customers in other Latin American countries.
We would like to know how business is going in other LATAM countries, as some of them already have the regulations in order...
Yes, the interesting thing is that the regulation arrived after being consolidated in Europe and we took advantage of all the learning we had and we are implementing it in the markets that are being regulated, such as Colombia and Argentina and very soon in Peru. And of course in Brazil.
What do you expect in relation to regulation in Brazil?
We understand that the most difficult the sector has already conquered. Now we just hope that the regulations are finalized in a favorable way as soon as possible, for both operators and providers. Besides the customers, of course.
And what are Digitain's plans for when regulation arrives?
We have many plans. We have already made numerous contacts both at BiS and through the years we have been in the Latin Market, and the idea is to start offering products that can be operated in accordance with Brazilian regulations.
