“Soft2Bet expects regulation not only in sports betting, but also in casinos”

Soft2Bet is very attentive to the direction of sports betting regulation in Brazil and has invested a lot in the country to ensure a quality service for players, where they can feel increasingly comfortable and secure. In conversation with GMB, Isaac Mizrahi, country manager Brazil, says that “we are in the best environment to make regulation happen. Soft2Bet is trying its best to make the Brazilian market look more carefully not only in sports betting, but also in the casino business. Since we are talking about regulation, let it be complete.”

One of the world's leading providers of iGaming products and services with a 360º solution, Soft2Bet has invested heavily in the Brazilian market, waiting for a brief regulation of sports betting and, in general, of all gaming verticals, including casinos.

In conversation with GMB, Isaac Mizrahi, country manager Brazil, says that Soft2Bet has high expectations and is keeping an eye on the country, “since the market is bubbling in Brazil”. Below is the exclusive interview during the recent edition of BiS.

GMB – What are your expectations and how has your first day at the Brazilian iGaming Summit been?
Isaac Mizrahi –
It is a pleasure to be back in Brazil. It is the first time that we participate in BiS and we are proud of it. The event has been a success and we have high expectations as the market is bubbling in Brazil.

We had a presentation by the secretary of the Ministry of Economy in which he informed that the next phase of the regulation of betting is to put the decree on the street and make additional adjustments and regulations. What do you expect from this?
We are closely monitoring this regulatory development. We hope it will happen, despite the fact that we are in the year of elections and the World Cup. But an event like this, we show the Brazilian government the intentions of the market and how it can develop and we hope that this will happen. Brazil has a lot to develop in this regard, but it can learn a lot from what has happened in the rest of the world.

What is Soft2Bet's positioning in the market today and what are the future expectations for this market?
Soft2Bet is trying its best to make the Brazilian market look more carefully not only in sports betting, but also in the casino business. Since we are talking about regulation, let it be complete. We will do our best to always offer a quality service to players, safe and where they can feel more and more comfortable in this environment and that we can explore all areas of this growing market.

Technology exists, there is a lack of regulation. What else is missing for the Brazilian market since large operators are already in the country?
All you need is the president's signature. That's the last thing missing. The market is there and we can see big companies, not just Soft2Bet, that are investing heavily in the market, developing and bringing more security to the player. Of course, the government has to explore this market as well and not be left out.

You mentioned a political year, but also football and the World Cup. What is your assessment of the regulation of sports betting in the face of a world event like this?
It is like I said. We are in the best environment to make regulation happen. There is no better environment than a year of elections and the World Cup for this to happen. And we're here to show our support for the industry and we hope that happens.

And is Soft2Bet ready to invest even more in Brazil?
Certainly. We already have five years of history in Europe, working in well-developed markets and Brazil is one of the most emerging markets in which we have worked with many clients and we hope to invest more and more in this market.
