The “Cycle of Debates on the Regulation of Sports Gaming, Lottery and Entertainment of the OAB-RJ” will star on Wednesday (13) next week. The first meeting will begin at 2 pm with a presentation by Paulo Horn, president of the Rio de Janeiro Games Commission, in the company of Daniel Homem de Carvalho, president of the National OAB Games Commission, Sergio Garcia Alves, of the OAB- DF, and Vania Siciliano Aieta, a lawyer specialized in Electoral Law.
“At this important moment in Brazil, with the final discussion on the regulation of sports betting, the movement to create state lotteries and a bill in the Senate that legalizes the other gaming verticals in the country, the Special Commission on Gaming Law Sports, Lotteries and Entertainment of the OAB-RJ, as a civil society body, could not fail to promote a broad debate on the subject and bring light to economic activities of great positive impact for Brazil,” highlights Paulo Horn, president of the commission.
At the meeting, there will be a presentation and launch of the book “Brazil, You're Broken Because You Want It”, by Luiz Carlos Prestes Filho, who condensed in the publication interviews with lawyers, parliamentarians and other renowned articulators of the gaming and betting sector in Brazil, whose texts were reproduced by GMB. On the 11th, there will be an autograph night for the book, promoted by Editora E-papers, VinoArt and the Special Committee on Sports, Lottery and Entertainment Law at OAB-RJ. The event will take place at Rua Artur Bernardes, lj 14C, in Catete – Rio de Janeiro.
