SGA System, a Brazilian company that develops a platform for sports betting, has been standing out in the market and achieving important milestones in its operations. The company recently received GLI certification for its platform and has now incorporated the casino vertical into its solution.
In conversation with GMB, Bruno Baima, the company's marketing director, comments that adding the casino vertical was very important for SGA, as it allows partner operators to increase revenue.
GMB - How in such a short time has SGA System established itself in the sports betting and gaming market?
Bruno Baima – We have been investing a lot for some time, dedicating ourselves and seeking the necessary certifications. Our product proposes a unique and tailored solution for Brazilian operators. We are one of the pioneers in offering this type of service in the national market. Through this process, we created a platform with managerial control and creative freedom for operators, making frequent improvements and delivering a good product to Brazilian operators.
Do you work only in Brazil or are you expanding the borders to other Latin American countries?
With the recent GLI certification, we have plans to expand our operations beyond Brazil, especially LATAM, but with an eye on Africa, Asia and Europe to expand. We have participated in fairs to present our platform and we believe that now we will be able to take our cutting-edge technology to other countries and operators outside Brazil.
SGA has just integrated the casino vertical into its platform. What do you expect with this new option for your customers?
With the integration, customers were very satisfied, as they increased revenue. Both the casino and the live casino are growing and users are looking for this vertical. Thus, the offer of this modality generated more resources in our platform that comes in an escalation of growth. The vertical has grown and the numbers are encouraging for the operators who work with us.
This makes a leap in quality and also in commercial terms, since there is an increase in profitability for operators.
Of course yes, quite a lot. Users love crash games and live casino and everyone has been looking for this type of game, which has promoted the growth of activity.
How can SGA differentiate itself in the sports betting and gaming market in the face of such fierce competition?
Our differential today focuses on the GLI certification. The platform has reached a high level both in technology and in security, technical standards, compliance and responsible gaming. This generates potential and tranquility for operators in the market in the process of becoming regularized. And we are preparing for this new era, with the regulatory framework. We are ready to meet all requirements and take our license from operators and offer GLI certified technology. We believe that regulation is at hand.
And having GLI certification is a big business card for SGA...
Very strong. In addition to the quality of our product. We can already compare ourselves with large international platforms. We managed to certify our technology and we are very competitive offering both casino and sports betting. The usability is very good and as we know the Brazilian market well, we are sure that our customers are using a very reliable and assured product.
Are they very demanding requirements? Was it easy to adapt to them to achieve GLI certification?
It's extensive documentation and hard work over a period of time. With the dedication of our team and a very strong technical work, together with consultants, we managed to obtain the certification, which guarantees to the market that we are offering a responsible technology and according to all the standards expected by the operators. The quality of the product is far superior to that of the competitors.
The certification is recent, but can you already see the difference and greater demand for the SGA platform by operators who want to enter the Brazilian market?
Certainly. We are spreading this and expanding into other markets and for this reason the demand has increased, not only because the market is expanding but also because of the imminent regulation. This attracts attention to our market, which is a giant of the world market.
Do you believe in rapid regulation of sports betting? Do you think it will be ready for the World Cup?
For the World Cup, maybe. But I believe that after the elections this will happen and the regulations will be published. There is great pressure for this to happen and we already see all clubs in the Brasileirão championship with sponsorship from bookmakers and we want this money to also become revenue for our economy and allow even more growth for our regulated betting market.
What is your assessment of the maturity of the Brazilian sports betting market?
More and more our industry is growing and empowering. We see great resources in marketing, bonuses and affiliation, which shows that the market is quite mature and ready to continue growing, with the regulatory framework.
You've made heavy investments to achieve the GLI certification, in addition to other important investments in the development of the SGA's platform technology. Now, what are the SGA's plans for when the regulation arrives?
Our growth perspective is great and the challenges are enormous, especially ahead of the competition. We intend to include new game technology providers and close major partnerships beyond the ones we already work with. We have a powerful and certified tool in hand, a licensed white label product from Curaçao and we hope that the expansion with regulation in Brazil will also allow us to expand our participation in Brazil and grow together with the industry.
In other words, the horizons are open for the SGA!
Certainly. The work is enormous and we are expanding our team, qualifying them technically and participating in fairs both in Brazil and abroad to move towards new horizons.
