Lawyer at Bonetti, Krugen & Pamplona

Leandro Pamplona joins the Gaming Law Commission at OAB-Rio de Janeiro

Lawyer Leandro Pamplona has just joined the Special Committee on Sports, Lottery and Entertainment Law at OAB-Rio de Janeiro. Specialist in legal consultancy in the area of entertainment and gambling, Pamplona has recently launched an area focused on the intermediation of conflicts between gamblers and sports betting houses and is already part of the OAB of the Federal District.

Leandro Pamplona, a lawyer from the law firm Bonetti, Krugen & Pamplona, from Rio Grande do Sul, has just been appointed to the Special Committee on Sports, Lottery and Entertainment Law at the OAB/RJ by the chairman of the committee, Paulo Horn.

Specialist in law in the areas of tokenization, entertainment and gambling, he is also part of the Games Law Commission of the OAB of the Federal District.

Pamplon has actively participated in congresses, seminars and discussions on the regulation of sports betting in Brazil, as well as the legalization of other gambling verticals in the country.

He recently launched, through ‘Acordos Brasil’, a platform for resolving disputes between bettors and sports betting houses with the aim of making any conflict between the parties faster, cheaper and more effective.

“Aware of the growth in the number of websites in Brazil and the lack of more agile support for gamblers due to the fact that companies are headquartered abroad, we created the platform for the intermediation of these conflicts,” he said.

Now, as a member of the Gaming Law Commission, he intends to “reinforce the work that has been very well directed at the OAB/RJ to broaden the understanding of lotteries, sports betting and gambling not only in the legal sphere, but for the entire Brazilian society,” commented to GMB.
