Thomas Greg & Sons do Brasil, a multinational company with plants in 13 countries and a strong presence in LATAM, was the winner of the LOTERJ electronic auction and will supply, for a period of one year, 12 million ‘Raspa Rio’ instant lottery tickets. The contract is for R$ 888,000 (US$ 172k).
Thomas Greg & Sons is a company producing security documents such as lottery games, instant lotteries (with and without scratch-off/scratch-off), savings bonds, passport, driving licenses/driver's license, identity card ( RG/DNI), university degrees, notarial and control seals, security seals, bank cards (private label, debit, credit and gift card) among others.
With strong penetration in several regulated markets, Thomas Greg & Sons arrived in Brazil to offer its integrated lottery solutions and this contract gives the company an important business card to present itself more strongly especially when more state lotteries are implemented in the Brazilian market.
André Machado, director of operations of the company, states: “In Brazil the challenges are big, and we hope that every day the country gets closer to what is happening globally for this segment, where we will certainly support the initiatives to create an increasingly regulated market.”
The ‘Raspa Rio’ operation is the responsibility of MCE Intermediações e Negócios, which had its contract with LOTERJ extended for 180 days, by order of the company's president, Hazenclever Lopes Cançado.
