The Evolution Championship Series will air on TikTok in Brazil for the first time

The Evolution Championship Series, popularly known as EVO, and the portals MGG and IGN Brasil closed a partnership to broadcast it after two years of hiatus. The event will take place on August 5t-7 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Some of the successful titles that are part of the competition are Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Tekken 7 and The King of Fighters XV.

The coverage will include lives, which will broadcast the semifinals and finals of the main games during the weekend, cuts from the broadcast with the best moments, the EVO Duty, which will present trivia about the tournament during its broadcast, and the bulletin with results, all by TikTok, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook of the portals in question.

The lives will be presented by the editor-in-chief of IGN Brasil, Jean Mota, will have comments from the reporter Gabriel Sales from the MGG Brasil portal and the special participation of the guest player Keoma - considered one of the best Street Fighter players in the country and with international renown.

“Evolution Championship Series streaming rights already belonged to Webedia Gaming worldwide, however, we saw the opportunity to upgrade TikTok from our eSports and gaming brands,” commented Bruno Martins, Head of Strategy and Content at Webedia Brasil.

Antoine Clauzel, General Manager of the Movies, Gaming and eSports verticals, highlights the importance of the event for Webedia. “We will broadcast one of the biggest fighting tournaments in the world on the stage of great matches that are remembered to this day.”

It is worth mentioning that the broadcasts will be made from Esports Arena, located at the Webedia studio in São Paulo. The lives start on Saturday, 6, at 1 pm and Sunday, 7, at 8 pm through the networks (TikTok, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook) of the MGG and IGN Brasil portals.
