“There is a social responsibility behind the games: every time someone deposits a dream, immediately, we are transforming someone's reality,” commented during the event the president of CAIXA, Daniella Marques. “It transforms the reality of many children, many teenagers, Paralympic athletes. It’s very beautiful this transformation and all this inclusion,” she added.
“The lottery network gives CAIXA an operating force that no other bank in the country has,” said Marques when she received a PIN and a replica of the first federal lottery ticket in history from bank colleagues. “It is a BOX (CAIXA in Portuguese) of very inspiring stories. The power that this bank has to transform and save people's lives,” she added.
The Vice President Operator Agent, Edilson Carrogi, stated that Loterias CAIXA is a vector for the whole of society “bringing education, commitment, social values, which will be carried throughout people's lives.”
Celebration
The 60th anniversary event featured the Bolshoi Theater School. Young dancers from the company performed the French Dance, from the ballet The Nutcracker, in addition to two other ballets.
The project, which is sponsored by Loterias CAIXA (FDL), directly benefits around 230 children and 920 family members from 21 different Brazilian states, promoting social inclusion through professional dance education.
Those present also accompanied the presentation by Ana Luísa Neiva. The gymnast, gold medal for teams in the Pan American Games held this year in Rio de Janeiro, brought the series that helped the country in this conquest.
Loterias CAIXA also sponsors Brazilian gymnastics. The current contract runs until 2025 and provides for investments of R$ 30 million (US$ 5.8m) in the four modalities (artistic, rhythmic, trampoline and aerobics) and schools.
“We had great athletes, but few opportunities”
Former athlete Fabiana Murer told a little about her story. With four world medals in pole vaulting, Murer said that before the sponsorship of Loterias CAIXA, the situation was complicated. “I remember when I started, athletics didn't have much opportunity. We had great athletes but few opportunities,” she said.
With CAIXA's entry into the sport, everything changed. “It went really well. I think we don't just win medals, but good citizens. We transform the lives of children and young people. Sport teaches a lot,” she concluded.
60 years
Since it was unified and started to manage the Lotteries, in September 1962, CAIXA promotes the primary role of the Lotteries: investing in social actions for the social development of Brazil. With transparency and efficiency, Loterias CAIXA reverts a large part of the proceeds to education, sports, health, culture, security and social security.
Over time, Loterias CAIXA has also innovated in providing the most varied types of lotteries to the Brazilian population, allowing players a range of options when trying their luck. The objective is to increase its attractiveness, in order to conveniently serve current and potential gamblers.
The launch of +Milionária, in May 2022, marked the beginning of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary, which currently have 11 modalities in its portfolio – Mega-Sena, Lotofácil, Quina, Dupla Sena, Lotomania, Timemania, Loteca, Dia de Sorte, Super Sete, +Milionária and the traditional Loteria Federal.
