The recently signed agreement consists of the implementation of the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) and covers the matches of Serie B, Serie C, Copa Fares Lopes, Cearense Feminino and Sub-20 of Ceará football. FCF already had the services of Sportradar in the last edition of the State Championship Series A through the company's partnership with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
For the president of the Ceará Football Federation, Mauro Carmélio, protecting the integrity of football in the state of Ceará is a priority, so it is essential that measures are in place to protect competitions from manipulation of results. “We are very happy with the partnership we closed with Sportradar. In the last Cearense Championship won by Fortaleza against Caucaia, Crato Esporte Clube was excluded from the competition for alleged manipulation of results in the state.
The Court of Sports Justice of Football of the State of Ceará decided for the exclusion of Crato. The TJDF-CE decided that the Ceará Football Federation (FCF) should declare ineffective the following matches: Pacajus x Crato, Iguatu x Crato, Crato x Atlético-CE and Ferroviário x Crato. The four games should therefore be considered losses by WO.
The decision would not change the table of the first phase and the sequence in the championship, nor the final result. Because Crato lost the four matches mentioned above. The FCF is still awaiting the publication of the judgment to give a new position on these matches.
To avoid other cases like this, the FCF disclosed the agreement with Sportradar.
