US$ 43m to be allocated in Fortaleza and Ilha do Sol

Hard Rock Hotel projects in Brazil have funds obtained from FIDC

VCI S.A., the developer responsible for bringing the Hard Rock Hotel to Brazil through its subsidiaries, announces that it has just participated, as assignor, in the first FIDC (Investment Fund in Credit Rights) with an exclusive focus on financing its real estate multi-ownership projects in the country. For Hard Rock International, projects in Brazil are highly strategic and a priority along with its global expansion.

In a note, the developer informs that in the first issue of Senior Quotas, the fund will finance R$ 230 million (US$ 43m) for the conclusion of the works in Fortaleza (CE) and Ilha do Sol (PR).

“It is a great satisfaction to build a fund of this magnitude alongside the biggest players in the financial segment. This gives us even more credibility. In addition to all the exclusivity that our projects offer, this fund makes us pioneers in the timeshare market,” says Samuel Sicchierolli, president of the company.

Commitment to Brazil

For Hard Rock International, projects in Brazil are highly strategic and a priority along with its global expansion. The brand, present in more than 70 countries, is recognized worldwide with its iconic restaurants, hotels, casinos, as well as a strong presence in the entertainment area and the digital gaming division.

“The Brazilian public identifies a lot with the brand and we pay special attention to the region and the projects. We have great expectations for these openings and the beginning of a new stage for the brand in the country with the arrival of hotel,” says Alex Pariente, Senior Vice President of Hotels and Casinos at Hard Rock International.

Importance of the segment

The developer VCI S.A. stands out in the segment for being responsible for bringing the Hard Rock Hotel brand to Brazil. The developer has already conquered more than 13 thousand customers and surpassed the mark of R$ 1.4 billion (US$ 260m) in sales.

VCI S.A. has already placed on the market the fractions of the Residence Club at the Hard Rock Hotel Fortaleza, under construction at Praia da Lagoinha (CE), 1 hour from the capital of Ceará; and the Residence Club at the Hard Rock Hotel Ilha do Sol, in northern Paraná, 1 hour from Londrina.

The developer also confirmed that it intends to launch projects in Campos do Jordão (SP). Jericoacoara (CE), Recife (PE), Natal (RN) and Foz do Iguaçu (PR) are other locations that will receive investments in the future.

A Hard Rock Hotel in São Paulo is also on the radar. However, for strategic reasons, it would be the only unit outside the timeshare models. Adding the eight investments in the country, VCI S.A reaches R$ 8 billion (US$ 1.5b) in General Sales Value (PSV).
