1XBET commented to GMB, with exclusivity, that it has achieved the objectives that the company set itself in 2022 and has consolidated as one of the major players in the market. Eduardo Ferreira, country manager Brazil, says that “the non-regulation, although frustrating, served to value our sector even more.” For him, in 2023 “we are going to expand the operation and make the brand even more present in the daily life of the player, through the acquisition of relevant properties and a targeted and personalized service.”

GMB - What is your assessment of 1XBET's performance and growth in 2022? Was it what you expected or did it exceed expectations?
Eduardo Ferreira
– 1XBET reached the proposed objectives in 2022. Although it was a year of great expectation, mainly due to possible regulation, we stayed within the expected growth level.

In a period of many changes in consumer behavior, and even analyzing the result of facts that had an impact on the Brazilian and world economy, we remained within a growing trend, which in a way surprised us.


Could you list the main accomplishments or goals achieved?
Our consolidation as one of the major players in this market, with a presence from North to South of Brazil, was certainly one of the achievements made by our team.

We were in most of the state championships in Brazil, and this was a way of, in addition to expanding our market share, showing our intention to contribute to the growth of the scenario.

I also emphasize our participation in the Volleyball Super League, where we have the naming right, both for men and women. We consider it extremely important to look at other Brazilian sports, as they bring a very strong brand identification.


In your sector within the industry, what topics or technological advances do you think will dominate the market in 2023? What will be the future trends?
It is evident that this industry is very fragmented, with voracious competition and many similarities between the players. A trend and differential will be the personalization of the service. Loyalty will be the key.

Currently, all players offer platforms and possibilities that, despite their peculiarities, present more similarities than distinctions between them. The player needs to choose a brand that brings credibility, stability and service channels. I believe that the biggest advances in 2023 should be within this: tools to build customer loyalty.

Of course, always attentive to the electronic games scene as well. This sector can bring something disruptive too!


Have you noticed that the Brazilian gaming market has evolved this year, or has it missed another opportunity? What do you see about the regulation in the country for 2023?
It has certainly evolved. There was notably a general maturation, especially in the understanding and perception of the public.

The failure to regulate within the established period, although frustrating, served to further enhance our sector, which is ready and eager to contribute in a regulated society.

The massive presence of players in the most diverse sports, football teams, television and other media, undoubtedly brings enormous evidence to our market and, inevitably, puts us in the consumer's daily life.

The acceptance and consumption of the public, due to all the exposure that our sector is printing, is a clear way of attesting to the evolution of our industry.


What are 1XBET's main goals/objectives for 2023?
This year we will seek to expand our operation and make our brand even more present in the daily lives of Brazilian players, through the acquisition of relevant properties and a targeted and personalized service.

Our goals for the coming year are based on what has already been built so far.

Our company already has a wide presence in Brazil. We want to use this point to increase our share. Another point that we are going to intensify is to be present at the biggest sporting events enjoyed by Brazilians. Also, and with special attention, we will work to promote an increasingly targeted and personalized service to the Brazilian public.
