Following the example of Federal Law 14,455, enacted in September 2022, in which part of the profit collected from lotteries will be allocated to the National Health Fund and Embratur, at the state level, the deputy's proposal provides that 5% of the collection will be allocated to the State Health Fund, in the case of the Health Lottery, and to the State Tourism Fund (Fundetur), in the case of the Tourism Lottery.
“Health and Tourism are sectors that directly impact the economy and social well-being of the population of Rio de Janeiro. Creating lottery products in which part of the amount collected from bets is used to promote actions in these two directions is an initiative that is in line with all my work carried out in this first term, which prioritized respect for citizens and the promotion of the development of our state," said the deputy.
According to Bill 6400/2022, both in the Health Lottery and in the Tourism Lottery, it will be possible to create games in the lottery modality of numerical predictions, in which players try to match the numbers, as in sports predictions, in which the gamblers try to predict the outcome of sporting events, and fixed-odds betting.
Bets can be placed physically or virtually and prize amounts not claimed by bettors within the established period will also revert to the State Health and Tourism Funds considering the financial and budgetary programming of the State Executive Branch.
