Hazenclever Cançado, president of Rio de Janeiro Lottery - Loterj, was invited to participate in ICE 2023, the world's largest gaming industry event, which takes place next February 6-9 in London. He will attend the Countries Roundtable at the World Regulatory Briefing conference on February 7.
Cançado commented: “I am pleased to share the invitation received to participate as an ICEVOX speaker, during ICE London. I will be at the Round Table of Countries, at the World Regulatory Briefing conference, on February 7th, lecturing and debating with international players on the current Brazilian regulatory scenario for the sector.”
According to him “we are going to present the challenges and opportunities in the state of Rio de Janeiro, through Loterj, a public company of the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro responsible for the administration, management and inspection of the game in all municipalities of the State.”
Loterj has just approved the company that will be responsible for the processing of payment for the public service of lotteries of the agency through solutions by electronic means.
In addition, it is analyzing the changes in the Brazilian lottery regime and is ready to expand the modalities available to the population of Rio de Janeiro.
So much so that the company carried out internal studies, through a commission created by Hazenclever Cançado, on amounts for fixed and variable grants that will compose the future Public Notice related to the expansion of the range of lottery modalities offered by Loterj.
The president's main objective is to get ahead of the federal government and launch, within the scope of Rio de Janeiro, an announcement for the accreditation of companies to operate the lottery modality called "Fixed-Quota Sports Betting".
For Cançado, there is a need to modernize and expand the portfolio of lottery products and for this reason he decided to set up such a commission to prepare the studies. During ICE London it is possible that he will bring the results of the study to the international gaming and lottery community.
