GMB - What is your assessment of your firm's performance and growth in 2022? Was it what you expected or did it exceed expectations?
Luiz Felipe Maia-2022 was a very good year. We maintained the growth of previous years despite the regulatory uncertainty caused by the non-signature of the sports betting regulation.
Could you list the main accomplishments or goals achieved?
We had the launch of the new brand MYLaw – Maia Yoshiyasu, new headquarters, excellent hiring and, most important of all, we managed to keep our old customers satisfied, adding new good customers to the portfolio.

In your sector within the industry, what topics or technological advances do you think will dominate the market in 2023? What will be the future trends?
I think 2023 will be a year of much discussion about gaming regulation in Brazil. Not only sports betting, which is already part of the population's daily life and is already a reality, but also other modalities such as casino games and bingo.
In the legal sector we are anticipating a lot of work in the areas of administrative law, tax planning and civil litigation.
Have you noticed that the Brazilian gaming market has evolved this year, or has it missed another opportunity? What do you see about the regulation in the country for 2023?
There was a lot of evolution in 2022, from the number of operators and means of payment, volume of investment in sponsorships and advertising, to the way of dealing with local customers.
We believe that the popularization of sports betting sites is breaking the prejudice that existed about gambling and this should facilitate the processing of Bill 442/91 in the National Congress.
What are your main goals/objectives for 2023?
Our main goal is always to maintain and improve the level of service we provide to our current customers. Our growth has been sustained organically through referrals and the reputation built, which is why our gratitude to our clients and the commitment to always serve them with the same dedication, which cannot be lost with the growth of the office.
