"BetWarrior will seek to replicate Argentina's success model in other countries of the region"

Few companies can be happier and more satisfied with the balance of 2022 than BetWarrior. GMB spoke exclusively with Santiago Gándara, its Chief Marketing Officer, to review the firm's achievements and the goals set for this new year: “We launched our products in the Province and City of Buenos Aires, and signed a support agreement to the Argentine National Team champion of the world... all positive”.

GMB - What balance do you make of the performance and growth of BetWarrior in 2022? Was it what you expected or did it exceed your expectations?

- 2022 was a very positive year for BetWarrior, mainly due to the growth of our operation in Argentina, where we launched our product under the licenses of the City of Buenos Aires and the Province of Buenos Aires, quickly becoming market leaders.
 

Could you list the main achievements or objectives met?
We have had several successes during 2022, without a doubt the most relevant was the launch of Argentina, where we also signed an agreement as Main Sponsor of the Argentine National Team, which turned out to be world champion!

We also officially launched our Android and IOS mobile applications, closed an agreement with Mercado Pago and increased our games offer by more than 30%.

On the other hand, we were able to double the team of people, we opened an office in Buenos Aires and launched an expansion plan in new markets in the region, among other important achievements.

 


In your sector within the industry, what topics or technological advances do you think will dominate the market in 2023? What will be the future trends?
The user experience continues to be, in my opinion, the great differential. Especially in Latin America, where the industry has a lot to grow and evangelize.

In this sense, mobile applications and new developments that facilitate the user experience (more facilities to deposit or withdraw funds, friendlier onboarding, accessible and easy-to-interpret information on sporting events, etc.) will be the ones that mark the trend in the coming years.
 

Did you feel that the Brazilian gaming market made progress this year or did it miss another opportunity? What do you see about regulation in the country by 2023?
I believe that the Brazilian market has made some progress in 2022 with a sustained growth in interest in sports betting, mainly due to the impact of the World Cup. In any case, I believe that the market has already reached such a volume and level of development that regulation is urgently necessary.

Hopefully the new government will include the issue in its political agenda and give it the necessary priority so that Brazil can start a process of exponential growth, with clear rules for both operators and players.


What are the main goals/objectives of BetWarrior for 2023?
In 2023 we are going to focus on continuing to work on our product, with the aim of fulfilling our premise of offering the best sports betting product on the market. We are also going to seek to replicate Argentina's success model in other countries in the region, and we are going to maintain our presence in markets with potential, attentive to regulatory advances.
