“LotoMinas is an extremely valuable strategic partner in the Brazilian market for BtoBet”

The launch of LotoMinas this year, the first regulated iLottery and online sports betting in Brazil, marked NeoGames’ entry into the local market, in partnership with Loteria Mineira and Intralot. At G2E Las Vegas, GMB talked in exclusive with Dima Reiderman, Managing Director of BtoBet, company acquired in 2022 by NeoGames and also one of the main firms involved in this project. “All of the products of LotoMinas are looking really good and promising,” said the executive.

GMB - What products and services are you offering at G2E this year?
Dima Reiderman -
This is our second time at the show. We've come to showcase our online solution as well as the remaining Omni Channel over-the-counter solutions, self-service terminal, live odds, and mobile as well.

Tell us about the new product LotoMinas (i-lottery) launched in Brazil, how is that partnership working…
We launched LotoMinas earlier this year. They're an extremely valuable strategic partner for us in Brazil. It's the first regulated sportsbook. There's a very close cooperation. We're meeting every week in person, every few months despite the distances, and it's looking really good and promising as a cooperation between the two companies.

What can you say about that partnership between your group and LotoMinas?
BtoBet is part of a broader group with Neo Games and Aspire Global. We partner with LotoMinas on all aspects, so it's not only the sports betting that is under BtoBet, but all the rest of the products. All of it looks promising, launching with the games, the lottery… very interesting.

How important is the Latin American market and specifically the Brazilian one to the company?
Extremely important. We see Latin America as the next big potential. It's going through regulation, every country at a time. There's talks about it in Brazil right now, there's conversations in Peru, there's an outlook for Chile. Our strategy as a group is regulated markets, and as the continent continues to regulate, we see an increase in interest with definitely great potential for us.

Regarding the regulation in Brazil, how do you feel about what's happening so far, how's that going?
I think the big one around the corner is Brazil. Everybody's been waiting for it. It's always been the regulation to come, maybe tomorrow, maybe the day after. It seems now closer than ever. It should be one of the top markets on a global scale, not just in South America. So we're really excited to look into it.

It's really helpful we already have a local partnership with LotoMinas so we can build upon that, but we're definitely looking to see how it will develop and evolve, assuming it will continue down that trail. So regulation is going to happen pretty soon or pretty imminent. That's what we're hoping for. We're definitely going to invest heavier into the market.

What plans do you have for the rest of 2023 and 2024? What are the expectations for the company?
Our current focus is investing heavily in the maturity of the product. We're adding a lot of bells and whistles, especially to the mobile sites. Can't talk about everything. We have some key partnerships that are being signed right now, and we'll be announcing in the coming weeks and months. But very exciting stuff, primarily on the quality of the product.
