Experts and politicians discuss the direction of regulating sports betting in Brazil

This Thursday (19), a debate will take place on the direction of regulating sports betting in Brazil, which brings together entity leaders, lawyers and politicians. Participating in the meeting are the president of the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming, André Gelfi; senator Angelo Coronel (reporter of the matter at CAE); deputy Adolfo Viana (author of the Bill currently in the Senate) and José Francisco Manssur, from the Ministry of Finance, among others.

With the aim of making the proposals for adjustments to Bill 3626/2023 in urgent progress in the Senate clearer, the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR), the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC) and the Pinheiro office Neto Advogados, holds this Thursday (19), the debate “Regulation of Sports Betting in Brazil”.

The meeting features the participation of senator Angelo Coronel, rapporteur of Bill 3626/2023 in the Senate's Economic Affairs Committee; federal deputy Adolfo Viana, author of the project currently being processed; and José Francisco Manssur, special advisor to the Ministry of Finance and responsible for conducting work in the department to regulate the activity.

Senator Jorge Kajuru was also invited to the event, who will probably take over as rapporteur for the Bill in the Senate after the matter is approved by the Economic Affairs and Sports Committees.

The president of IBJR, Andre Gelfi, Eric Brasil (director of Tendências Consultoria), Ricardo Caichiolo, director of IBMEC Brasília and lawyers Vicente Coelho Araújo, André Santa Rita and Tiago Moreira, from the Pinheiro Neto office, will also participate.
