“EstrelaBet’s project contemplates expanding to LatAm and other markets worldwide”

For the first time, EstrelaBet attended G2E in Las Vegas. In an exclusive conversation with GMB, Fellipe Fraga, business director and company representative at the event, spoke about the positive feedback on the new website, the regulation of sports betting and the brand's expansion plans. 'Firstly, we are focused on Brazil, but our expertise in marketing and sports sponsorships allows us to consider expanding worldwide,' reveals the executive.

GMB – Do you believe that a trade show like G2E is a must-attend for EstrelaBet?
Fellipe Fraga
– Absolutely. It's my first time in Vegas, and it's a great learning experience. This is the global hub of gaming, the epicenter of this gaming culture, and it's truly amazing. I'm learning a lot, discovering new things, and, of course, online gaming is thriving at this show. It's an opportunity for new business, new technologies, and innovations that we're looking to bring to Brazil for our customers. I hope to reap the rewards of this trip, which has already been very interesting in exploring this new world.

Tell us about the news. Are you launching a new, revamped platform, correct?
EstrelaBet is always striving to evolve for its customers, introducing new features, new game options, and conveniences for customers. We made this bold move, as always, in recent weeks. I had mentioned that we would have news in the second half, and this is one of them. Our new website has been launched, and I hope people continue to enjoy it. The feedback has been very positive, especially in the sports betting section, which I love, and we have felt this evolution. I hope it continues to grow as it has in recent days.

Have all the features been tested and truly consolidated on the new site?
Yes, of course. It's an ongoing process that I believe never stops. But overall, the vast majority of the key features have been tested. Now, we will be rolling out more news, promotions, and other innovations that will come by the end of the year. Brazil can expect an even more robust EstrelaBet.

I would like you to talk a little about your expectations regarding the regulation of sports betting in Brazil, as we are about 45 days away from the deadline.
We have been closely monitoring the progress and discussions in the Federal Senate, where there is a smaller number of legislators, with 81 parliamentarians, discussing the matter. So, it's a bit easier for us as an industry to communicate so that they can understand everything we are seeking to have a regulated, consolidated, and healthy market. We are thinking not only about our customers as consumers but also about responsible gaming and the industry as a whole, to ensure its quality survival.

Here at this fair, we see the potential the industry has to generate jobs and taxes. This goes beyond online gambling, with which we are currently working, but also looking ahead to land-based, physical casinos. We see industries like chairs and uniforms, for example, filled with jobs. Imagine the potential of this in Santa Catarina, for instance, which is a hub for furniture and textile industries.

Brazil has this opportunity, and it's in their hands to first work on online gambling with the impending law. I hope that with some of the points we are advocating for, this will evolve in the Federal Senate not only in terms of sports betting but also in a broader sense of iGaming.

And who knows, maybe this will inspire progress for Bill 442, which embraces gaming in Brazil as a whole, deserving more freedom, more job creation, and more money for Brazil.

Is EstrelaBet prepared and have the paperwork ready to submit to the federal government for a license?
Fortunately, EstrelaBet is a company that seeks to be increasingly serious. Our international team has been working in Brazil in the best way possible, and it is our major market, with very robust compliance. We are already monitoring how it is evolving so that we can be ready when the time comes for Brazil to say, "We are open for the world." EstrelaBet is one of the pioneers to have this license.

After that, will you expand to Latin America? Will we have an EstrelaBet.ar or .cl?
Who knows, maybe an EstrellaBet! It's in our project, our goal. We are looking at markets as a whole, not just in Latin America but perhaps in other parts of the world. Our expertise in marketing and sports sponsorships allows us to think about expanding worldwide. Everything in its time. First, we are focused on Brazil and seeing what will happen. It's our major market and will be for any company in the world. After this process, we will seek new opportunities and brush up on our "Spanglish."
