ANJL: The Ordinance opening operator registration strengthens the sports betting industry

Brazil’s National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) officially released the institution's position in relation to Normative Ordinance No. 1,330, published last Friday (27). The entity led by Wesley Cardia considers this news to be very positive and believes that 'opening registration for these companies not only stimulates economic growth, but also strengthens the sports betting industry, creating opportunities for investment and jobs.'

Below is the official communication from ANJL:

"The National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) sees the Ministry of Finance's initiative in issuing Normative Ordinance No. 1,330, of October 26, 2023, as positive.

This measure represents another step for the sports betting sector in Brazil, providing a transparent regulatory structure for companies interested in operating in the country.

Opening registration for these companies not only fosters economic growth, but also strengthens the sports betting industry, creating opportunities for investment and jobs.

We are optimistic about the impact that this ordinance will have on the market, as we know that companies that want to operate legally will have more and more space to carry out their work, promoting a healthy and safe environment for bettors and boosting the development of the sector as a whole."

Launched in March 2023, the National Gaming and Lottery Association defends the interests of its members, the sector and responsible and honest gaming, always guided by encouraging sport, betting security and contributing to the country's economic development.

Members include GaleraBet/PlayTech, Kaizen, Betano, Hebara, F12, PagBet, BetNacional, Mr. Jack, Primtemps, BetFast, Aposta Ganha, Liderança Capitalização and Parimatch."
