Novibet took action to encourage responsible adoption in Fortaleza x América-MG game

In the week of World Animal Day, bookmaker Novibet, Fortaleza's master sponsor, promoted an action yesterday (8) before the game against América-MG as part of the global awareness campaign for responsible adoption #NoviPet. The players entered the field accompanied by dogs, as mascots, during the start of the match protocol, replacing kids.

The Fortaleza EC fans present at Arena Castelão, this Sunday (8), left the stadium happy with another victory for the team, but some of them returned home with a special shine in their eyes. Novibet, in partnership with ‘Abrigo São Lázaro’, promoted a conscious animal adoption action throughout the day, which resulted in new families for the puppies.

Fortaleza players entered the field accompanied by dogs, as mascots, during the start of the match protocol, replacing kids. Before, during and after the game, the animals, including adults and puppies, were the main attraction on the stadium terrace.

Those interested in donating went through rigorous screening to meet the requirements established by the shelter to ensure that the animals are safe with their new family.

Entitled “NoviPet”, the action honored World Animal Day, celebrated on October 4th, and was signed by the agency Alob Sports. On the field, Fortaleza beat América Mineiro by a score of 3 to 2, in a match valid for the 26th round of the Brasileirão, and jumped to sixth position in the league.

The #NoviPet responsible adoption awareness campaign was launched in Greece – the bookmaker's home country – on Wednesday, October 4th, on World Animal Day, and is part of Novibet's social contribution program.

The partnership between Novibet and Fortaleza began in March this year, in the biggest sponsorship contract in the club's history to date. The brand is present in three uniform properties (front and sleeves of the shirt and shorts), and frequently promotes activations for tricolor fans.

The company has been operating in the betting segment since 2010, starting in Europe, and consolidated its arrival in the Brazilian market in the agreement with ‘Leão do Pici’.

Abrigo São Lázaro has been working to protect animals since 1996, being the largest NGO in its segment in the state of Ceará. Currently, there are more than a thousand animals, including dogs and cats, under the organization's care, which includes food, recreation and veterinary care.
