With all eyes in the gaming industry currently focused on Brazil, especially with advances in the regulation of sports betting and online gambling, everyone is eager for news.
Therefore, during G2E Las Vegas 2023 will take place the workshop “Unlocking Brazil: Understanding the Legislation, Opportunities, and Growth Strategies of this Emerging Landscape”.
To complete the team of experts to debate the current gaming scenario in Brazil on the panel and delve deeper into the new legislative changes, the organizers included among the speakers Leonardo Baptista, co-founder and CEO of Pay4Fun, and Marcus Fortunato, president of Tictabs.
Leonardo Baptista has a degree in computer science and a bachelor's degree in marketing. In 2018, following the birth of the legal sports betting industry, he founded Pay4Fun, a company that in five years achieved leadership in the area of payment methods for the gaming and betting sector.
In 2022, Léo joined the list of the ten most inspiring CEOs of the 'CIO Business Review', which selects the most influential executives in the business world.
Currently, Pay4Fun has more than 500 websites integrated into its payments platform and since last year it has been certified by the Central Bank of Brazil, being the first company in the sports betting and gaming segment to be licensed by the largest financial regulatory authority in Brazil.
Marcus Fortunato is president of Tictabs and his experience of more than 30 years in the gaming sector in Brazil includes time at Sodak Gaming and was one of the founders of FBM Gaming, together with six other partners, in addition to being the first EGM operator in Brazil. Furthermore, he has other pioneering video bingo launches to its credit, in Mexico and the Philippines.
The two new panelists join Valter Delfraro Jr., business executive at the global certification laboratory GLI, and Magnho José, president of the Brazilian Legal Gaming Institute (IJL).
The speakers will discuss the opportunities that the Brazilian market offers, as well as the challenges posed by future regulation, location and market dynamics.
