GMB - How was your participation at SBC this year?
Jhuana Lamas - First of all, thank you very much for being here once again. It's always a great pleasure to be with you. And for us, this event, speaking for myself a little bit, has been truly spectacular. I wasn't expecting so much. So, I was able to meet new operators, operators that are growing in the Brazilian market. So, for me, it was excellent for us, right.
You are well-known for the robustness of your platform and all the technology involved in the Sport Tech product. And you are increasingly adding partners to the platform, aren't you?
Exactly, it has to be that way, doesn't it? For us to be in constant evolution, always in progress, we have to be. We need to have new partners, new technologies, new things, and so on.
How has it been in terms of partnerships with leading game developers in the global market?
I believe that now we are in a phase where we want new things. I think Brazilians always need something new. So, at this event, for example, I also met with some new partners, with some new developers, and in fact there are a lot of good things, a lot of new things coming. And without a doubt we won’t be left behind, right? Let's go after them too.
What are these new developments? Crash games are often talked about today; are they the current trend?
I think crash games are trendy in Brazil right now, it's in fashion, there's no denying it. I think it has the potential to succeed in the market.
Is Sportingtech strongly focused on this trend?
We have to be, right? We can't be left behind, for sure.
What are Sportingtech's plans for the Brazilian market next year?
We want to expand, not only in the Brazilian market but also a bit more focused on the entire Latin American region. And we already are, in fact, but it's about looking for the best on the market, making good deals, making contacts and finally being present, as we always do. I think that's the most important thing, that we maintain it.
You had previously promised the opening of an office in Brazil. Is this one of the plans for 2024?
I'll be very honest, I hope so, yes. We have to have an office, I think now with regulation, this office part will have to happen. We are waiting a little, but yes, without a doubt, it's in our goals for 2024.
The expectations for regulation are good, yes, of course, they have to be good, right? We have a market with enormous potential, it's a sleeping giant, but it's not really asleep, right? It's been awake for a long time. So, we have to be hopeful, we have to have high expectations.
