Experts debate direction of betting regulation and payment methods in iGaming

Veirano Advogados and Pay4Fun will hold a seminar this Thursday (7), to discuss the direction of regulation of sports betting and iGaming in Brazil with a focus on the payments market. With the regulatory process in full swing, experts intend to dissect how to serve the future sector with compliance tools, KYC and the aspects to be taken into account in the segment's financial transactions.

On Thursday (7) this week, the seminar “Betting Regulation and the Payments Market” will take place, organized by Veirano Advogados and Pay4Fun. Given the current scenario, with the Ministry of Finance preparing ordinances and regulations for the future regulated market, the meeting will bring together the firm's partners, Pedro Simões and Enrico Romanielo, and the founders of Pay4Fun, Leonardo Baptista and Ari Celia.

The objective is to look into the processes that involve financial transactions between bettors and sportsbooks and the requirements that will come with the regulation of sports betting in Brazil.

Among the aspects to be addressed are the requirement for payment method companies to be authorized by the Central Bank, as well as deeper issues, such as excellent onboarding that guarantees a good user experience and speed in the user identification/validation process. Relevant topics such as combating match-fixing, compliance, responsible gaming and combating fraud will also be discussed.

Veirano Advogados is a firm specialized in these topics and also in combating white-collar crimes, money laundering and terrorist financing.

Pay4Fun is the most important Brazilian payment method services company for the gaming and sports betting sector, with more than 500 partners in the segment and operating for more than 5 years in Brazil.

Places for the seminar, which takes place between 9 and 11 am this Thursday, 7th, are limited and can be booked by email at [email protected].
