Initially, eight companies were accredited, four of which are authorized and legalized by the Paraná State Lottery to offer sports betting to the people of Paraná. The other four companies are accredited, but have not yet paid for the operating license, the grant fee per company, in the amount of R$5 million (US$ 1m).
The other sports betting sites that did not participate in this first accreditation are not authorized by Lottopar to offer betting in the jurisdiction of Paraná, that is, they are operating illegally.
Lottopar president Daniel Romanowski warns that when betting on an unauthorized site, the bettor is not guaranteed to use a service that offers security.
“Lottopar carried out rigorous operator accreditation, in addition to an integration stage with numerous tests to ensure that the entire process is safe and reliable. Furthermore, Lottopar has accredited international testing and certification laboratories, which now operate in Paraná, to ensure that sports betting operators' systems are safe and reliable.”
Resources
Authorized betting sites, in addition to guaranteeing reliability and security for the bettor, guarantee that part of the resources collected from operations are allocated to the Government of Paraná for investments in popular housing, public security and social actions. A total of R$20 million (US$ 4m) has already been raised through grants alone. In other words, anyone who uses an authorized betting site benefits the whole of Paraná.

The companies authorized to offer sports betting to people from Paraná are Apostau, BPlay, Aposta.La and PixBet. Rigorous testing
?In a pioneering initiative in Brazil, Lottopar is accrediting internationally renowned laboratories to be able to work with lottery operators authorized to operate in the State. These laboratories will carry out tests and issue certificates, proving whether lottery equipment and systems comply with standards, regulations and requirements established by regulatory authorities and entities responsible for the gaming and lottery industry.
Authorized sites are required to present proof that they have passed tests and have certificates from these laboratories, but when it is an unauthorized site, neither Lottopar nor the players are able to validate these certifications.
The certifications issued by these laboratories guarantee that the games are fair, safe, fraud-free and that they meet the required international quality standards and lottery operators can only operate in the State with due proof of these certificates and tests.
The first two laboratories accredited by the authority are Gaming Labs International (GLI) and BMM Test Labs.
