On the eve of ICE London, the Brazilian iGaming Summit announced a great novelty, the partnership with SiGMA, one of the most important event organizers in the world. What does this represent for you, Valente, as one of the founders and creators of BiS?
Alessandro Valente – First, I think it is the importance of consolidation and the fact that Brazil is in everyone's sights. Second, a respect for the work we've done. When Carlos and I had the idea of creating the event, few people believed. But as can be proved, it's the right time.
Brazil's time has come. This event will be the biggest in Latin America. You can get ready and come to Brazil on the 15th, 16th and 17th of June. It will be the biggest event in Latin America, consolidating the Brazilian market as the gaming hub in the region.
Carlos Cardama, as a participant of ICE London for 26 uninterrupted years since the days of the former ATEI, what does it mean to bring to Brazil all this grandeur of an event that will be the Brazilian iGaming Summit in partnership with SiGMA?
Carlos Cardama – It's an incredible thing, especially because it happened along with a businessman of the magnitude of Valente. We have a very close friendship, and all this was born sitting at a table drinking coffee. It is a dream and a reality. Blessed are we to be living in this moment. I attach great importance to all Latin American countries, which will see a lot of technology in Brazil.
Everything will be in São Paulo from the 15th to the 17th of June. Entrepreneurs need to seize this opportunity. The city is fully ready to host this event, with all the infrastructure to receive exhibitors at Transamérica, a very accessible location on Marginal Pinheiros. We are proud to host the best gaming fair in Latin America.
Valente, SiGMA relied heavily on the work previously developed at the Brazilian iGaming Summit and on businessman Alessandro Valente, renowned in the affiliation and iGaming area, and on Carlos Cardama, in the media area, with Games Magazine on the air for 26 years. This consolidates Brazil as the ball of the hour, as you said. But more so, is it an unexpected confidence from SiGMA?
I don't think it's a matter of trust. They are numbers. It's one thing to trust that something will work out and it's another thing to look at numbers and here we're talking about that, about data and facts. Brazil is already in the sights of large companies and major investors in the sector, who want to invest in the country. Brazil is already in that position. So of course they looked at the numbers and all that potential.
And they also trusted the talent behind it – not just me and Carlos, but also the entire team that is with us. This team is what makes it all happen. They are trusting that we will do our best and even more. They only looked at the facts and figures.A few years ago, when I started attending ICE and SiGMA, Brazil practically did not exist. Today, it's all the rage, as are some places in Africa and Southeast Asia. But Brazil is the main one.
