GMB – What are Zitro's novelties for ICE London?
Johnny Ortiz – At all fairs, as you know, we bring news. This year we have Match Hammer Link which is a game that is already on the market with fantastic and wonderful results. We also have Mega King, another very special game that is already on the market and working very well. And we have lots and lots of products. Apart from, obviously, the online sector, because London is the Mecca for online gambling; so we have an online gaming department that is also successful and in which we are growing more and more in several countries.
By the way, how is Zitro's entry into the online market? As you said, 'here is the online gaming Mecca'. How is this area for Zitro?
We at Zitro were born with land-based, but obviously like all companies, we have to create new products and online is the product of the future. I remember 20 years ago I was asked in Argentina what would happen with online and land-based. I said: 'we're going to have at least 30 years for the online to grow'. And I think we're getting to a point where I really believe that land-based is never going to end because people need the social game, meeting and seeing each other. But it is inevitable for the new generations that are coming to be online as well. Zitro is also developing and investing a lot in R+D and we are going to grow more and more.
Returning to land-based, Zitro's cabinets are a success and of extraordinary beauty. I would like you to talk a little bit about how this Glare family was born.
Everything we do at Zitro is done at home, in house, 100%. Graphics, cabinets, drawings and everything in between. But, I can tell you that we launched Glare and we're super excited. But wait for next year the new cabinet will be even more spectacular, beautiful and wonderful. So what we try to do at Zitro is to outperform our products, to do something better every time. The new cabinet comes with new technologies and an important thing we do at Zitro: all products that work in the Glare family will also work in the new one. So, Zitro's secret is not to stop, always thinking ahead, launching news and things that players like.
More and more, the online ends up delivering some trends to the land-based, such as greater interactivity with the machine, because years ago playing was just pressing a button or pulling a lever. Today you interact much more with the machine, don't you agree?
That’s truth. But we have to be careful with the following: there is a generation that, when you say you work with gambling, the person makes the movement of pulling the lever, which no longer exists except in one or another [casino] in the United States, where the vast majority are buttoned. There is a generation that is still not used to new technologies. So we must offer technologies and games for a new generation, which we also do. So, let's make a mix of generations to be able to serve the entire market.
Every market, except the Brazilian yet, isn't it?
But for a little time. I trust Brazil. Everyone knows that there is no gaming only in Brazil and Cuba. It cannot be that the whole world is wrong and only Brazil is right. And the activity already exists in Brazil; both the government sector and the private one, except that this one doesn't pay taxes. I am sure, without the slightest doubt, that it is a matter of time before gaming can be released in Brazil. And we'll be ready, decided, I've got everything ready.
