GMB – What made SiGMA look so favorably on an event like the Brazilian iGaming Summit?
Vinícius de Carvalho - I believe that the Brazilian market is becoming more and more relevant, as well as the Latin one in the iGaming area. There was a change in mentality about the activity in Brazil, which is increasingly present in society. It is an important market and still did not have a multinational player operating. We already knew BiS and we had great confidence in the team in making this happen and bringing the SiGMA brand to Brazil. These were the assumptions we sought when we looked at this acquisition.
What is SiGMA's expectation for the next edition of the event?
Our expectation is to work very well in this event. And even though it's a first integration event, we're really excited and want to make the best event ever. We want to get off on the right foot in Brazil and that is why we are looking for the right partners in the country to do this. Obviously, as it will be a quick integration, we still don't have a clear definition of what we expect in terms of results. What we have defined is that in this first event there will already be a significant volume of business and presence of public and companies. For next year we imagine it will be one of the most relevant events within the SiGMA group.
Within the SiGMA group then means that it will be the most important event in Latin America!
Exactly. It is already the most important and will be even greater with the commercial and business opportunities that SiGMA is bringing, in addition to the customer base that we are adding. So it's a perfect marriage between what the partners have already created fantastically in BiS and what we are bringing from the international experience.
In other words, was announcing a contract of this size at ICE London strategic?
It was very strategic. We ran a lot to have this plus on ICE and it's paying off. Talking to my commercial team, the feedback we are getting is very positive. Everyone is very excited and it's one of the events that my team says customers talk about the most they want to exhibit and even more than others we're organizing this year. For all these reasons, we are very excited about the present and future possibilities of this event.
