“Paybrokers already have its IP, soon there will be news to serve even more the iGaming sector”

Once again Paybrokers, a Brazilian payment solutions company for iGaming, was present at ICE London to present its modern financial transaction tools. Edson Lenzi, CEO and co-founder, received GMB and highlighted the growth of the market, especially with the PIX revolution, and confirmed that the company already has more than 300 customers. “We are already an IP (Payment Institution) and we are ready to comply with the regulation of the sector in Brazil. And soon there will be many news, including in relation to PIX,” said Lenzi.

GMB – Proper payment methods is one of the backbones in the iGaming segment. How do you see this area and ICE London?
Edson Lenzi
– The fair demonstrates a very large recovery of the market, which has grown a lot in Brazil. Everyone is watching what happens in our country, which grows every day. We will have many news in the coming years. It is a very good market and this fair demonstrates the recovery, compared to last year's edition. We have great expectations of converting new customers and partners, in addition to the joy of the visit and the personal contact we made with many of them on this occasion.

Even because you already have many customers in this segment!
Of course. We currently have around 300 customers in operation, so this is already a very significant volume. We have from the big operators to smaller clients that are in Brazil. Diversity is great and there is no shortage of players in this market.

Brazil has some specific characteristics, such as the boleto, which is still widely used, and PIX, which revolutionized the market. How do you see this movement for financial transactions on betting sites?
PIX effectively and definitively changed the Brazilian market. The player no longer has the patience to pay a bill and wait for two days for the credit. With the PIX and the instantaneousness of both deposits and withdrawals, we understand that the growth of the market occurred because of the PIX. This is undeniable.

From the point of view of regulation of the Brazilian market and from the drafts you saw, is Paybrokers prepared to comply with the legislation?
We are prepared and we already have an IP (Payment Institution), so we will have news soon, including in relation to the PIX. Therefore, we are very calm. Still in March we will have a delimiting point by the Central Bank regulations for some payment processors, which we don't even call eFX, because they are not doing the role properly. But the regulation is very good, the states are already moving in this direction and we are prepared for the regulated market.

Are there any changes to be made in Paybrokers' structure or in the products offered when the regulation arrives?
Yes. We will have a much wider range of products in the regulation. We are even talking about payment accounts for Brazilians, for operators and also for the States.

And at a fair like ICE London, how do the big global operators see the Brazilian market and how do they understand that we have different payment systems?
It is difficult for us to explain to them what PIX is. They are not aware of what the PIX represents and the growth that some operators had as a result of the PIX. This instantaneity does not exist anywhere in the world, but the Central Bank will start to export it and it will start to spread. The United States is also creating Fed Now, but it is very different. Some say it is similar to SEPA or Zeli. But it's not like anything else. PIX is a beautiful and very successful Brazilian invention.

So let the global gaming market turn its eyes to Paybrokers, which has all the necessary tools for this very important activity that is the financial transaction for the gaming industry!
That's right. Anyone interested should contact us, as we are available to assist and explain the market and, of course, make a proposal, integrate and start working.
