The recently signed agreement consists of the implementation of the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) and covers matches from Série B and Under-20 football in Pará state. The FPF became aware of Sportradar's services through a partnership between the company and the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to monitor the main Brazilian football matches.
For the president of the Pará Football Federation, Ricardo Gluck Paul, protecting the integrity of football in the state is one of the priorities of his administration.
“We are very happy to announce the partnership we signed with Sportradar. Our championships will be monitored by the company's monitoring system to protect competitions from match-fixing. This agreement transmits security to the clubs, sponsors, fans and partners of Pará football,” he says.
Match-fixing remains a constant and growing threat across the world of sport. There are several important methods that can combat the harm of match-fixing. The first of these revolves around prevention, and Sportradar's Integrity Services team organizes educational workshops for clubs and league partners around the world. This guidance details the dangers of engaging in match-fixing, as well as introducing an audience of players, referees and coaches to the modus operandi of match-fixers, and giving these individuals an understanding of best practice in relation to reporting any approaches.
The Paraense Football Federation's mission is to promote football in the State of Pará with professional management and to be a reference in the organization of competitions, having as essential values respect, ethics and transparency in all competitions.
