With Novibet in Fortaleza, 19 Serie A clubs in Brazil are sponsored by betting companies

With the agreement announced by Fortaleza, the Série A of the Brasileirão championship, which will start in April, will have 19 clubs sponsored by betting sites. Even out of uniform, Palmeiras has a partnership with Betfair. In the elite, only Cuiabá does not have a sponsor from the betting sector.

Fortaleza announced Novibet, from the betting segment, as its new master sponsor in 2023. Since the termination of the contract with Betcris at the beginning of the year, the club has not had a company in this segment.

“A contract like this is the result of credibility achieved over the last few years, with sporting results and an ever-present, ever-active crowd. It is a sponsorship that will help us directly in our day-to-day activities, with the club's expenses, in the football department, in terms of structure, and we will do everything, as we always do with all sponsors, to give the best possible return to who invests in our shirt,” said Marcelo Paz, president of Fortaleza.

The debut of the new sponsor on the uniform took place last Thursday night (9), in the defeat by Cerro Porteño, from Paraguay, by 1-0, in Castelão, in a game valid for the Pré-Libertadores.

América-MG (EstrelaBet); Atlético-MG e Fluminense (Betano); Bahia e Goiás (Esportes da Sorte); Botafogo (Parimatch); Cruzeiro (Betfair); Fortaleza (Novibet); Santos e Vasco (Pixbet); e São Paulo (Sportsbet.io) promote in the master space.

Already in other parts of the uniform are Athletico-PR (Betsson); Corinthians e Flamengo (Pixbet); Coritiba (Dafabet); Grêmio (Esportes da Sorte); Internacional (EstrelaBet); and Red Bull Bragantino (MrJack.bet).

Even out of uniform, Palmeiras has a partnership with Betfair, which includes digital activations with the male squad.

In the elite, only Cuiabá does not have a betting sponsor. That's because Luck.Bet left the team.

Novibet, Fortaleza's new partner, has been operating in Europe since 2010 and will use the club's sponsorship to gain visibility upon its arrival in Brazil.

The agreement is valid for two years and includes brand exposure in three different properties: the main area of the shirt, sleeves and shorts. In addition, among other deliveries, there will be presence on Fortaleza's digital channels and promotion of the company at Arena Castelão in Brazilian Championship games.
