On March 23 and 24, in Rio de Janeiro, the “Responsible Gambling Seminar – A Transforming Connection” takes place. Loterias CAIXA will participate as an associate member of the Iberoamerican Corporation of State Lotteries and Bets (Cibelae) and the World Lottery Association (WLA), and also as host of the event.
Participation in the seminar is done through registration and payment of related fees through the event’s website. About 100 people are expected to attend it.
The seminar aims to disseminate knowledge and exchange experiences among the main state lotteries in the world. The meeting also aims to inspire and guide entities to adopt practices that help develop broader Responsible Gaming and Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
During two days, there will be lectures and panels by specialists in the gaming and betting market, as well as debates at tables that will bring together representatives of the WLA and Cibelae directorates.

As part of the seminar, a Round Table will also be held with representatives of the ‘Women in Lottery Leadership program’ (WILL).
Responsible Gaming at CAIXA
Loterias CAIXA follow the best international practices in the management of Federal Lotteries, having a level 3 certification in Responsible Gambling. Recognition is conferred by the World Lottery Association (WLA). The entity proposes management structures and certifies organizations that follow its guidelines.
The WLA Responsible Gaming certification has 4 levels. The higher the level, the greater the degree of excellence of the certified institution.
Responsible Gaming is a set of actions adopted by companies with the aim of preventing under-18s from placing bets, as well as providing guidance on the prevention and treatment of gambling-related harm. Considered a Corporate Social Responsibility practice, the program comprises segmented guidelines for the gaming, lottery and betting industry.
In the CAIXA Lotteries, the program has 10 steps/elements whose guidelines establish the development of actions aimed at educating gamblers, lottery product resellers and guidance on gambling-related disorders.
CAIXA's Responsible Gaming program addresses items related to communication, education, guidance, identification, evaluation, research, employees, resellers, design and remote games.
