GMB – What do you think of this edition of ICE London?
Danilo Pereira – Post-pandemic, everything comes to the fore. I've been here the last few years and in 2022 was way smaller than it should be. This year came the account with interest and monetary correction, that is, much bigger, more people and countless different brands. I felt like great news the participation of payment methods and the lack of sportsbooks here was compensated at the LAC conference. All the people I spoke with felt the same way, and were happy with the immensity that the event had become.
In addition to visiting the fair, you took the opportunity to publicize the Bet Masters, an event focused on bettors and now with the fundamental support of Pinnacle. What do you expect for this year's meeting?
You said it all. For those who are professional bettors and train students, nothing better than having one of the biggest bookmakers in the world. And it cares about educating its bettors, as the company promotes a series of articles on the subject. Having Pinnacle alongside Bet Masters is like a sportsman signing a contract with Nike. It's getting to the top of your career. I've been a Pinnacle partner for many years in Brazil and I've contributed to the company's growth in the country, so I'm very happy.
The Bet Masters takes place in Recife/PE, on April 22nd and tickets are already sold out. The event will have more than 20 influencers and bettors for 500 participants in the Northeast. We took it there because it is an audience that lacks content.
Is the Brazilian gambler already more aware of the subject, especially the recreational one?
Undoubtedly. I was able to follow the growth of this industry. I started 16 years ago and four years ago we lived the pre-boom of sports betting. There was preparation by bettors and the industry for what is happening today. The gambler was impacted for this moment and yes, he is aware of what it is to bet, to play, in the same way that there is a large niche of those gamblers who look for the professional side to earn money. And it just grows.
Will you discuss regulation at Bet Masters?
Yes. We are concerned about this moment and there will be a panel about it and we will have the participation of professionals who militate in Abaesp to present an update on the betting scenario. We want the best for both sides: for the industry to win, and for the bettor to have a fair scenario, as is the case here in the UK. We want to contribute to educate the people who go to the event.
And for bettors, there's one more information. Danilo will start writing a periodical column in Games Magazine Brasil to talk to this audience, guiding them on how to play and how to choose the most suitable and licensed sites. Are you ready for this new moment?
Firsthand. I was very happy for the invitation and to make this link between B2B and B2C, the gambler. We are going to bring the gambler's voice to this wonderful media, which will now hear the gambler via Danilo Pereira. Everything they want to know and hear I'll transport to articles and videos on GMB. I am excited and very happy for the invitation and I have no doubt that this betting audience will contribute to the growth of the industry.
