The striker opened a live on social networks to share his moment at the betting site with Internet users. He went through different games on the site, but lost everything when he took a chance on the roulette.
Neymar went into 'desperation' when he found out about the lost money and joked about the situation. He pretended to cry as music from the movie Titanic played in the background.
One of his friends joked about the situation: “How to lose a million in an hour.” The athlete pretended to cry, and replied: “I'm going to make a YouTube channel, how to get into iron [laughs]. No one has ever done that [lose 1 million euros]”, said the player, who is also a PokerStars cultural ambassador.
In contact with UOL, the player's advisory reported that it was a marketing action by Blaze and that Neymar, in fact, did not lose money.
The idea was to show the common gambler that there are bigger and famous “losses” – and, thus, make the user engage even more on the site.
Profile hacked
This Monday (28), Neymar had his Twitter profile hacked.
The hacker identified himself as Zestyx64 and sent a message to the athlete: “We are together”. The post was pinned on Neymar's profile and received around 10,000 likes.
All hacker posts have been deleted.
Neymar's advisory told UOL that Twitter is taking care of the situation. The attack did not reach the player's Instagram.
In recovery from injury, Neymar has taken advantage of the time to promote lives.
